I’ve been reading Threads Magazine for years. But usually that is all I do with it. Just read. I’ve decided to issue myself a personal 2015 sewing challenge: In each Threads issue I will choose an article to use for the basis of a project. I may just practice a technique discussed or maybe actually make a project.
So here goes. Even though it is the end of January and the January issue probably came out in December or before, and I have already received the next issue, I am going to start now
There are four articles I thought would be interesting to try:
- Corded tucks How Did They Sew That, by Judith Neukam
- Secure a Coat Lining, by Jacque Goldsmith
- Align Stripes, by Louise Cutting
- Rolled Hems, by Pamela Leggett
I’ll do some careful reading of the techniques explained and see which one to try. Wish me luck!
